THE BRONZE CUBE
The bronze cube was conceived of as a side table to mask AV components. Working with elemental materials that exist throughout the loft, weetu designed and executed a bronze cube, that opens via remote control to reveal equipment within. A gradient pattern was milled into the surface, a nod to another color gradient in the space. Seeking to merge multiple materials into hybrids, or superimposing other perspectival patterns onto geometric forms, weetu blurred the boundaries between objects and materiality via patterning and manipulation of the surfaces.
